step 7: Batch Render
- Once your render layers are set up and your scene is close to finish, you can batch render the layers to start compositing and make the final adjustments
- To do that, first make sure that all the layers have a green check mark, except for the masterLayer
TIP: If there is a layer that you do not want to render, you may click on the check mark to cross it out.
Render Settings
- On the Render Settings window:
- Make sure the Path of the file is correct. Otherwise go to File and then Project Window to set up your project correctly.
- Under File name prefix type: %s/%l
- This means that Maya will create (within the folder where the project is set) a folder with the scene name and then it will name the image with the name of the render layer
- Image format should be IFF
Render Settings
- Under Renderable Cameras, make sure the right view is selected
- Set the Image Size to match that of the original photograph
Ready to Batch Render
- Under the Rendering menu select Render and then click Batch Render
